Access to information/ Uniform Classification Plan

Uniform Classification Plan

According to the Act respecting access to documents held by public bodies and the protection of personal information and the Regulation respecting the distribution of information and protection of personal information, the Commission des services juridiques is obliged to post its document classification plan on its website.

A classification plan enables a public body to file its documents in a way that allows for ready retrieval. The public body must create and keep a list indicating the order in which documents are filed and it must keep that list up to date. The list must be sufficiently detailed to facilitate exercise of the right of access.

Anyone may ask to see the document filing list or classification plan, with the exception of information that the Commission is entitled under the above-mentioned Act to refuse to confirm the existence of.
